Making ourselves at home

Hey All

Life in San Francisco is coming along rather nicely...well done us!

Jon is adjusting to working at home and lov'in his 3 day weekends. I am thrilled to be back to working as a nanny for a 6 month old boy called Luca. The job is perfect because it’s just around the corner from our apartment and Luca’s parents are happy for him to hang out there if Jon needs a hand – so that means less money spent on support people and more on fun! The only bad thing about the job is that I've had the eighties tune “My name is Luca" in my head for 2 weeks now...save me from the madness!

When we were in Vegas we fanaticized about living in San Fran and how there would be so many cool places to explore, funky bars, clubs, parks, quirky cafes and sexy restaurants - it's all coming true baby! We really love it here, it's hard to believe that we're in the same country. It feels like a mix between Wellington and London - it's large enough that there will always be somewhere new to explore and yet small enough that you can see a lot of it on foot (or on your husband's lap when your feet get tired!).

We have been busy buying wood and tools to build furniture for our little home. The hope is to make magic furniture that will have multiple uses so that we get the most out of our small apartment (it's oh so urban!). One of these magic pieces will transform into a double guest bed, so as always you are more then welcome to come and stay with us, we would absolutely love to have playmates to explore the city with.

Love Sarah and Jon
